Disciplr Changes
We regret to inform you that Disciplr will no longer be accessible after August 15th, 2025.
Over the past few months, we’ve recognized challenges some of our subscribers have had while accessing the platform. Though we’ve worked to fix the most recent issues, it has become clear that our platform will no longer be able to keep up with other technology.
Due to significant updates planned by companies like Microsoft, we feel it’s important to move our ministry partners off Disciplr before the fall to safeguard against platform issues that would disrupt your ministry.
What Should You Do Next?
If your subscription was set to renew between February 15, 2025, and August 29, 2025, we’ve extended your current subscription at no cost so that you have time to make the changes you need.
Download Resources:
We recommend downloading the resources you plan to use through your original subscription date.
Please remember that the terms of service do require that, once your subscription ends, any resource files downloaded from Disciplr must be deleted. While we understand the inconvenience, royalties will no longer be paid to originators for the resources once your subscription ends.
Request Prorated Refund:
If your renewal date falls between September 1st, 2025, and February 14, 2026, you have the option to request a refund of the prorated balance. Please provide your church name, mailing address, phone, email, and contact name by email ([email protected]) or phone (1-800-242-2943) no later than August 15, 2025.
Since David C Cook is a nonprofit, your contributions help us further our mission to equip the Church with Christ-centered resources for discipleship. If you choose to not submit your request by August 15, 2025, any remaining balance will go toward this important mission.

How Does Wonder Ink Compare to Tru?
Tru and Wonder Ink both allow you to have the confidence that you are developing lifetime faith in a new generation by:
Exploring Scripture:
Tru and Wonder Ink help kids see the whole Bible and how God’s big story connects to their own story. Wonder Ink takes kids (toddler-preteen) through the entire Bible in three years. Each year encompasses major Bible stories grouped into God-centered themed series, balancing each year with Old Testament and New Testament stories, and connecting the Bible as a whole.
Wonder Ink follows the church calendar every year and includes special Christmas and Easter series with events. God’s big story of redemption is celebrated in each lesson with the hope of the gospel framing every story. Plus, every piece of Scripture is tied to the whole—nothing stands alone.
While Tru is released in quarters (roughly 13 weeks), a new Wonder Ink series is released every month. Each lesson series is between 4-6 weeks in length. The series are released 3 months in advance of intended use so that you’ll have plenty of time to start planning and exploring!
Understanding God’s character:
Tru and Wonder Ink focus on God statements, highlighting for kids that no matter the story, God is always central. Tru’s Ponder Points and Wonder Ink’s Wonder Truths are both God-centered and are the main focus of the lesson. Biblical language is introduced and explained in the context of Scripture, adding nothing to it and taking nothing away. The people of Scripture are not characters or superheroes—they are real people; people like you and me.
Creating space for Worship Response and Blessing:
Both Tru and Wonder Ink lessons encourage time for kids to personally respond to God through worship response—leaning into the power of the Holy Spirit. In addition, Wonder Ink includes a weekly Declaration of God’s wonder, and each Wonder Ink lesson ends with a blessing over the kids following the worship response activity.
Fun and engaging lessons:
Throughout both Tru and Wonder Ink, kids experience hands-on, age-appropriate activities designed to get them into the Bible, including Bible storytelling, videos, activities, remember verses, worship, and more.
More specifically in Wonder Ink, the Belief section of the lesson focuses on a Hear It, Watch It, Experience It teaching model. This three-step approach can be all inclusive, or you can choose what works best for your ministry.
- Hear It is when kids read the passage directly from the Bible.
- Watch It is when kids visually see the Bible story through a weekly age-appropriate video.
- Experience It is the live interactive storytelling that engages kids in the story of Scripture.
Word of Wonder verses (like Remember Verses in Tru) are featured in each series, and every lesson includes an engaging Bible memory activity. Kids spend 4-6 weeks to memorizing the Word of Wonder.
Involving a family-empowered ministry model:
Tru and Wonder Ink support the faith formation of the family at home, every day. Through Tru, families are encouraged through the HomeFront Weekly to spend time together in God’s Word. This family take-home is given to a family the week prior to so they can prepare for an upcoming lesson.
In Wonder Ink, since all ages are learning the same Bible stories, families with kids of different ages can explore the passages together through conversation and fun activities. The weekly take homes are provided and intended to be sent AFTER a lesson is taught to equip families to celebrate, wonder, and grow together as they explore the Bible story through conversation and fun activities.
Weekly videos of the Bible story that include family discussion questions are linked within each family take-home, in addition to Worship at Home Spotify playlists. Wonder Ink also has a series specific resource that includes family spiritual practices and prayer.
Additionally, Wonder Ink offers volunteer and family communication templates, along with social media graphics and captions, to help engage your parents and volunteers.
Building lifetime faith:
Both Tru and Wonder Ink have philosophies that support faith formation. Tru’s disciple-shaping philosophy moves toddlers through middle schoolers from childhood beliefs to lifetime faith.
Wonder Ink’s faith formation philosophy supports toddlers through preteens in building a foundation of faith to fully grasp that they are known by God, loved by Jesus, led by the Holy Spirit, and that it is through their faith in Jesus that they are children of God.
Encouraging resources:
Tru and Wonder Ink provide resources and support for leaders that help prepare their hearts to present each lesson.
The following are similarities between Tru and Wonder Ink:
- Inspire and Support in Tru is equivalent to Invitation for Leaders in Wonder Ink
- Equip in Tru is similar to Foundations for Leaders in Wonder Ink
- Developing Speaking Leader Tips in Tru is similar to Leader Tips and Make It Inclusive Tips in Wonder Ink
Unique to Wonder Ink is the offering of a series overview that features a summary of what to expect in the series, the scope and sequence of the series, and an invitation for the leader. This is also offered as a video.
Remember & Celebrate:
Tru has Remember and Celebrate lessons that gather all church families together to connect their story with God’s Big Story. While Wonder Ink does not have Remember and Celebrate lessons, Wonder Ink upholds this value in a different way. Wonder Ink provides opportunities for the church community to pause, celebrate, and have fun together through four family events a year.
With an intentional posture of celebration, each event ties into a series of lessons to help kids and families explore a part of God’s big story more deeply.
Built-in flexibility:
Tru and Wonder Ink are built for multiple learning styles in large group/small group and classroom format. Wonder Ink builds in flexibility through the customization available in the online portal experience. Churches can adapt the curriculum to fit their needs.
Suggestions for how to use Wonder Ink through large group/small group or all together are included. Additionally, Wonder Ink allows for the movement of series through a customizable calendar tool in the portal.
Customer Support and Community:
Wonder Ink has devoted support for the portal and troubleshooting. In addition, the Wonderfilled Facebook community group is instrumental in providing feedback, encouragement, and ideation for using Wonder Ink in your church.
Lesson Structure Similarities:
Tru and Wonder Ink follow a similar structure to support kids in their discovery of God’s big story.
